Liquid phase and gas phase experiments

In addition to the possibilities for investigating solids described here, REAGAE also offers excellent opportunities for investigating liquids and experiments in the gas phase. Particularly noteworthy here are the good visibility of hydrogen atoms, which play an extremely important role in processes involving water, for example, the extremely high time resolution achievable in the femtosecond range, and the fundamentally very strong interaction of electrons with matter, which allows even low-density matter such as gases to be investigated with good contrast. Corresponding experiments with liquid and gaseous samples are not the primary focus for applications at REGAE, but are planned for the future.
